The Fashionista Competition challenges participants to design and create innovative outfits on the spot using the materials provided. This fast-paced event tests creativity, spontaneity, and fashion sensibility as participants conceptualize, assemble, and style unique ensembles within a limited time. The competition emphasizes originality, coordination, and presentation, with entries judged on creativity, effective use of materials, styling, and overall visual impact.

The jewellery Making Workshop is a hands-on creative session where participants will learn to design and craft unique jewellery using beads and strings. The workshop introduces basic techniques such as threading, knotting, pattern creation, and color coordination, allowing participants to create personalized accessories. Suitable for beginners, the session encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression, with guided instruction and opportunities to experiment with different bead combinations and designs.

The Jute Art Competition focuses on creating decorative bottle hangings by upcycling plastic/ glass bottles using jute thread as the primary material. Participants will wrap, weave, knot, and design jute around bottles to transform waste into visually appealing and functional hanging art pieces. The competition promotes sustainability, creativity, and traditional craft techniques while encouraging innovative patterns, textures, and finishes. Entries will be evaluated based on originality, craftsmanship, effective use of jute, and overall aesthetic appeal.

The Keychain Making Competition invites participants to design and craft unique keychains using air-dry clay as the primary medium. The Lantern Making Workshop is a creative, hands-on session where participants will learn to design and construct decorative lanterns using origami papers. The workshop introduces basic paper-folding techniques, pattern creation, and assembly methods to transform flat sheets into three-dimensional illuminated forms. Suitable for beginners, the session encourages creativity, precision, and exploration of color and light, resulting in unique handcrafted lanterns that combine traditional origami with contemporary craft design.

The Mandala Art Competition invites participants to create intricate and expressive mandala artworks using paints and markers. Focusing on symmetry, balance, and detailed patterns, the competition encourages artists to explore creativity through color, form, and repetition. Participants may use a variety of painting techniques and marker styles to develop visually engaging compositions that reflect harmony and precision. The artworks will be judged based on originality, detailing, color application, symmetry, and overall visual impact.

Spontaneous speaking event focusing on self‑assessment, creativity, and impromptu expression.

This is going to be a fun event testing your creativity, improvisational acting, and storytelling skills through the use of random objects. The participants will be divided into teams of four, each having their unique team names. You will be given a collection of mundane objects and just 40 minutes to weave a complete universe around them. After the preparation time, teams must perform their story where every line is acted out with expressions and voice modulation. There will be """"surprise twists"""" introduced mid-way to disrupt your plots. Points will be awarded or deducted based on originality, prop integration, and team synergy as per the set criteria. Overall, it is an intriguing activity to interact with fellow colleagues while creating moments of pure theatrical magic.

This Event is organised to let the teams perform self-written stage plays. The lighting, songs, music, dialogues, characters, etc make a stage play. Teams from all over the Indian Universities actively participate to showcase their talents. The judging criteria includes time limit, expressions, story line, depiction, lighting, costumes,music etc. This is one of the most competitive events as per the active participation of highly experienced teams all over the India. This is an event fun to watch but hard to win. Blitz'23 had witnessed a footfall of 120+ members.

A mono-act competition to test individuals’ acting skills, story telling skills and expressions. Different genres of acts-horror, psychopath, comedy, patriotic, emotional etc are presented by actors, some of the scripts are even self-written. Around 60 actors whole-heartedly participate in this event. The judging criteria usually includes facial expressions, delivery, voice modulation, stage coverage, etc. This embarks the hard work of shining stars of dramatic societies. This feels like watching one person embody an entire world shifting between characters , emotions, and scenarios. With just their voice, expressions and body language, the performer draws the audience into an intimate often intense experience. The winning actors receive prizes as a token of thier extraordinary and unforgettable performances.

A life-sized interactive Monopoly game where participants act as tokens. Players take financial decisions involving property buying, cash flow, penalties, and negotiations, ensuring high engagement and continuous footfall.

A strategic mock simulation inspired by the IPL auction. Teams bid on players using a fixed virtual budget, focusing on valuation, financial planning, negotiation, and team coordination. Multiple rooms ensure smooth flow and continuous participation..

This workshop offers a beginner-friendly yet industry-accurate introduction to filmmaking, covering both creative and technical foundations. Participants will learn the basics of cinematography, scriptwriting essentials, and the process of shot division and storyboarding, enabling them to translate ideas into effective visual narratives.The sessions will also focus on production planning and the basics of sound and lighting, helping participants understand how professional shoots are organized and executed. An introduction to the editing workflow will guide participants through how raw footage is transformed into a polished final film. The workshop will conclude with a screenplay writing competition, where participants respond to on-the-spot prompts by submitting short concepts or scripts. This activity encourages creative thinking under time constraints while reinforcing key filmmaking principles learned during the sessions.

Teams will create short films of 3–10minutes entirely within the festival premises, applying the concepts and techniques learned during our event of Film making workshop conducted in Day 1. This hands-on filmmaking challenge is designed to simulate a real-world production environment within a limited time and space. Participants will be responsible for the complete filmmaking process, including idea development, scripting, direction, acting, cinematography, sound, and editing. This ensures holistic exposure to film production while encouraging teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving under time constraints. Throughout the shoot, mentors and supervisors will be present to guide teams at every stage, offering creative and technical feedback, ensuring smooth execution, and maintaining a structured workflow without limiting artistic freedom. This mentorship-driven approach helps participants refine their storytelling and technical skills in a practical setting. To further enhance engagement and learning, the activity will be followed by an interactive film quiz, testing participants’ knowledge of cinema, filmmaking techniques, and visual storytelling in a fun and competitive format. This segment adds an element of excitement while reinforcing key concepts from the workshop. Overall, the event combines practical filmmaking experience, guided mentorship, and interactive learning, making it an immersive and rewarding experience for all participants.

The MNIT Film Festival is a creative platform for participants to showcase their storytelling skills through short films. Participants can choose any theme or genre and bring their ideas to life by scripting, shooting, and editing their own films. The event encourages teamwork, imagination, and originality, giving filmmakers the freedom to experiment with narrative techniques, visuals, sound, and editing. Selected films will be screened during the fest, allowing the audience to enjoy diverse perspectives and cinematic expression in a fun and engaging atmosphere. This event will include the screening of the films submitted or made during the fest and deciding the winners and awarding them with certificates and prizes.

Each team will enter a closed room filled with clues, locks, codes, hidden hints, pattern puzzles, mini-mysteries, and interactive tasks. The goal is simple: Solve all the puzzles and escape room before time runs out. Teams will get 10 minutes inside the room. The team that escapes the fastest—or solves the maximum puzzles—wins exciting prizes.

Upside Down is an exciting Stranger Things–themed Escape Room challenge set in a dark, immersive environment inspired by the mysterious world of the Upside Down. The experience begins with a short film that introduces the storyline and explains the rules of the game. After the briefing, 5–6 participants enter the room together and begin their mission to uncover hidden evidence and clues scattered throughout the space.Each discovered hint brings the team closer to solving the mystery, demanding strong logical thinking, teamwork, and keen attention to detail. As the suspense builds, participants must connect the clues step by step, racing against time to crack the final puzzle. The team that successfully solves the last clue first will escape the Upside Down and emerge as the winner.

Family Feud – MNIT Edition will feature two teams competing face-to-face, where a buzzer decides who answers first. Questions will revolve around college life, campus culture, popular hangouts, academics, and student experiences, with teams earning points based on the survey-style options revealed. Multiple pairs of teams will play in quick 10-minute rounds, keeping the pace fun, engaging, and full of excitement, while celebrating the spirit of MNIT in a lighthearted game-show style.

MNIT’s Live is an exciting and interactive debate event designed to test participants’ spontaneity, creativity, and communication skills in a fun and friendly environment. Participants compete in teams on light-hearted and engaging topics that are revealed on the spot. Each debate features two teams of three members (3 vs 3), promoting teamwork, quick thinking, and effective expression within a fixed time limit. Speakers are expected to present sharp arguments and respectful rebuttals while ensuring equal participation among all team members. The event strongly emphasizes fair play, mutual respect, and clean communication, making it an enjoyable and enriching experience for both participants and the audience. Teams are evaluated based on content quality, creativity, clarity of expression, teamwork, and overall impact.

In this event, 70 students will begin together, and the first three rounds will act as eliminators where 46 students are removed through fun, challenging activities, leaving 24 to continue. These 24 then face a series of creative and competitive tasks designed to test skill, strategy, and teamwork, gradually reducing the number until only two finalist teams remain. The finale will be a mega challenge that combines physical relays, quirky mini-games, logical puzzles, and group coordination, with the winning team crowned as champions and rewarded with exciting prizes, while eliminated participants cheer and assist as part of the event atmosphere.

Udta Teer will be a creative canopy space where students can freely express themselves by writing wishes, sharing good shayaris, or even penning down fun “breaking news.” Alongside this, they can participate in small, unique, and interactive games that spark laughter and creativity. The event is designed as a chill zone full of imagination, spontaneity, and lighthearted fun, where everyone contributes something memorable while enjoying quirky activities.

Jugalbandi is an acoustic ensemble event that celebrates musical conversation, harmony, and creativity. Participants perform in small groups using acoustic instruments, drawing inspiration from Indian classical music, folk traditions, or acoustic interpretations of any genre. The event encourages emotional expression, musical storytelling, original thought, and respect for acoustic purity. Self-composed music and creative reinterpretations are highly appreciated.

Rap Music Competition.In this game, it has got three levels.Each level has got its on rules.The promotion of participants to each level will be those ones who sticks to the criteria each level demands.

The game is that, the pictures/symbols/emojis of a song will be displayed, the team has to guess the song. Its a group wise competition in which, all the teams will be participating together, the team which buzzers fi rst gets the chance. The 3 best scores will be proceeded to the level 2 and the best 2 scores will be proceeded for the level 3. In this game, it has got three levels, a team member from each team can participate at a time. The competition is that, the lyrics of a particular song will be displayed on a screen and a specifi c portion of the song will be muted, so that the participant is supposed sing that specifi c portion at the right time. In all the three levels, different participants from each team has to participate.
